Time And Relative Dimension In Space money bank.

What can I say about this product? Well, it's fantastic! I got it for Christmas this past year and, even though I didn't ask for it, it's quickly become my favorite gift. It's a ton of fun if you're a die hard Doctor Who fan (or a not so die hard Doctor Who fan) or if you've just wanted a Tardis of your own! It flashes and makes the famous dematerialization noise when you close the doors and when you open them again, the tenth Doctor and Rose (or the ninth Doctor and Rose, or the tenth Doctor and Martha, depending on which version you have) appear in the doorway and you hear one of a few a quirky phrases from The Doctor. This is a fun way to store your money and I recommend it to everyone. Though it doesn't actually travel in space and time--as far as I know--it does make you wonder if it's bigger on the inside. If only you could get your foot in the door...
Note: This product takes three AAA batteries and quite a small screwdriver to open the compartment to put the batteries in. Be sure you have these in supply when you get the bank. Don't want to be disappointed that you won't be able to use it right away because your screwdriver is too big or because you only have AA batteries! |
The perfect gift for any Doctor Who Fan!

The perfect gift for any Doctor Who Fan! I am 32 and love this product. It has a picture of the current Doctor (David Tennant) with Rose and says about 4 different phrases from Series 2 of the show! The exterior detail of the TARDIS is perfect up to the inside of the doors including the phone! Much better than the one that is pictured! I received this from Amazon on 07/13/2007 so note the changes I listed in comparison to the one pictured and ignore past poor reviews of the previous model!

The fun with this toy is it's ability to bring smiles to people who remember the many Dr. Whos. It's almost a real Time Machine, taking our family back to the Tom Baker years when lots of friends came over to watch Dr. Who every week on our PBS station. The memories are great! I was impressed with the detail of construction and the Tardis sound. A picture of Tom Baker as the Doctor can always be pasted over the picture in this toy. We love it! Our son was all smiles when he unwrapped the box Christmas morning.

Gave this to my Grandson for Christmas, He loves it! He was tickled to get the Tardis. He loves Dr. Who and is thrilled with all the Dr. Who stuff we got from here. Haven't run into any problems with any of the items. Great toys for any Dr. Who fan at any age.

The problems listed w/this refer to the series 1 version of it (w/9 & Rose which is pictured). The one I got is for series 3 (w/Martha & 10). It's a lot of fun & quite detailed (it has a phone inside & looks exactly like the tardis). Many different sounds & of course the light on top flashes. Unlike the series 1 version, the battery/sound stuff is in a different place than the money storage. I do wish they would update the picture so you know which version of this you are getting-I was hoping for a Rose version (although I like my Martha one). My one complaint is that the doors come off easily & are a little difficult to get back on so be careful if you have a kid that wants one.
